1983 Honda CB1000 Custom
1983 Honda CB1000 Custom VIN: SC1007DA006177 38,516 Original Miles! The one year only CB1000 is a unique and rare motorcycle. It is the final and ultimate evolution of the Standard UJM that Honda pioneered in 1969 with the CB750. It has all the traditional Standard Bike features: Classic 70's styling with tank and mildly stepped seat, round headlight, twin round analogue gauges, and four pipe exhaust. At the same time, it also incorporated the latest developments of modern technology: A dual overhead four valve per cylinder engine, air assisted suspension, dual piston dual disc brakes, anti-dive forks, low maintenance shaft drive, and a unique dual range transmission that effectively turned it into a six speed; all of which produced performance (mid-12 quarter miles) that put it on par with the 750 sport bikes of the era while retaining the comfort of a standard bike to produce relaxed and trouble free all day riding. The example you see here was purchased new from Pasadena Honda by the original owner in 1983 and has provided 38,500 trouble free miles (including several trips to Daytona Beach back in the day to enjoy the likes of Kenny Roberts and Freddie Spencer). The bike has been carefully maintained over the 43 years that I have owned it. A one owner all original, it has never been dropped or abused, and its black and metallic gray paint with silver pinstripes as well as its operating systems all remain in good condition. (All maintenance and repair records are included with the sale.) THIS MOTORCYCLE TO BE COLLECTED FROM HELENA, MONTANA. The Motorcycle has been consigned to the Classic Motorcycle Online Auction hosted by the Classic Car Auction Group. The auction is Saturday, May 9, 2026, with online bidding only.
