1949 Willys Jeepster Convertible VIN: U79107A Produced by Willys-Overland Motors from 1948-50, the Jeepster was intended to fill a gap in the company's product line. Following WWII and the introduction of the Jeep to the civilian market, the "Utilitarian" segment of the automobile market was served by the CJ and their Truck line. To fill the passenger car market, the Jeepster was developed with a "dual personality for city and country driving". Approx. 20,000 Jeepsters were produced during the three year run.
