BMW M Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary With Special Logo
By info@topspeed.com (Alina Moore)
BMW M was established back in May 1972 in order to facilitate BMW's racing program. It started small, with only 35 employees and its first project was the 3.0 CSL. The company grew slowly, and in 1978 it revealed its official M-badged car for the public: the M1. Today BMW M offers modified versions for nearly every BMW nameplate, with the exception of the Z4, 7-Series and X1. And now, to celebrate half a century of existence, BMW M is offering its customers the possibility to decorate their cars with a special logo inspired by the classic "BMW Motorsport" logo.
