This tribute car faithfully recreates the iconic features of the original AFX (Factory Experimental) Comet drag racers, including the fiberglass lightweight hood and bumper, roll cage, and a powerful 427 cubic inch side oiler V8 engine with dual 4bbl carbs, paired with a top-loader four-speed manual transmission. The car produces just under 600 horsepower at the rear wheels, delivering impressive performance while maintaining an authentic period-correct look. It pays homage to the drag racing heritage with authentic decals, engine cold air inlets coming from the bright headlight bulb bezel, dual four-barrel Holley carburetors, and a stripped-down, race-ready interior with racing harnesses and modernized gauges. The battery has been relocated to the truck with a drag style on/off switch. Riding on white steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps and radial tires.
