HOT ROD POWER TOUR WESTMark your calendars as the worlds largest traveling car show, the HOT ROD Power Tour, is heading west again in 2024. On the heels of a record-breaking summer trek through the South and Midwest last week June 10-14 with over 20,000 attendees per city and 7,000 featured cars, MotorTrend Group proudly announces fall dates for HOT ROD Power Tour West Oct. 7-11. The five-city, five-day event is back and bigger than ever and will include thousands of cars and trucks of all years, makes and models that will be on display for tens of thousands of automotive enthusiasts across California and Arizona. The HOT ROD Power Tour West installment made its debut in 2023 and is expanding in 2024 due to popular demand and will feature over 1,000 miles of driving with adrenaline-fueled events including drag racing, autocross and live entertainment. Sponsored by the Valley Collector Car Club and the Litchfield Hills Historical Automobile Club, the 11th Annual Cars for Kids Automobile Show will be held at CJR in Litchfield, 550 Goshen Road. Gates open for show cars at 8 AM. Entries are $10 per car. Dashboard plaques will be given to the first 100 paid registrants and exhibitor gift bags to the first 200 paid registrants. Judging will be from 10:30 AM 1:30 PM and more than 20 trophies will be awarded at 2:30 PM. Spectator parking opens at 10 AM. Admission is $5 per car. 6TH CATSKILL COVERED BRIDGE RALLYA noncompetitive tour open to all cars for the pure enjoyment of driving open rural roads, we follow 13 rivers and creeks through the Catskill Mountain Watershed and Wild Forest. We cross both Branches of the Delaware River on Historic Covered Bridges and cross two more Covered Bridges at Livingston Manor and Beaverkill. This is a hoot of a drive, starting at the Catskills Visitor Center in Mount Tremper and following the Esopus Creek to its source and then picking up the Neversink River through Frost Valley and beyond. MASCOUTAH IL FALL FESTIVAL CAR SHOWOur show is open to all years and makes of cars and light trucks. Our 2023 show drew 180+ entries. We award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies in 22 classes as well as Best of Show-Stock and Best of Show-Custom/Modified. The show area is on a paved street and all entries must be driven into the show area. Winners and their cars must remain in the show area until after the trophy presentations. in addition to the show, we have a giant craft fair and chili cook-off. BRITISH CAR FESTIVALThe South Alabama British Car Club hosts an annual British Car Festival in October of each year in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. The featured car this year is the Mini as that make celebrates it 65th anniversary. The theme of the show is Mini Gets Medicare. It has been held every year at the park since with the exception of no shows in 2014 and 2020. It is the largest VW car show in Texas, with over 300 classic Volkswagens in attendance. It is a free show to all participants, there is no registration fee nor spectator fee. The show is supported by many local, state, national and international businesses with donations to the raffle which sustain the show. The VW Harvest is a very fun, family friendly event with Hot Wheels races for the kids, a Kids Twinkie Eating contest and a fun home-made VW Valve Cover pinewood derby race. It is promoted on the VW Life YouTube channel, which currently has 44,000 subscribers across the globe, the VW Life and VW Harvest Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as local newspapers and TV/radio stations.
