This 67' Fastback GT was cared for by the original owner from 1967 up until the year 2000! LaFontaine Classic Cars sourced this vehicle from the third owner earlier this year. The car still retains its original body floor pan interior date-correct drivetrain and even rolls on original FoMoCo Mag 500 wheels! The paint is said to have been refinished in the early 90's and the engine rebuilt in 2021.This car has many impressive attributes and has been undeniably well maintained throughout its life.
This GT was built at the Metuchen Assembly Plant and delivered new to Caccese Motors in Frankville NJ. After decades of excellent maintenance and accident-free living the car was purchased by its 2nd owner and enjoyed over the next 20 years before finding its third caretaker in Ohio. In 2021 this clean Mustang benefitted from a mechanical reconditioning to ensure this car was going to continue to be a great driver for the coming decades! Reconditioning highlights included a professional engine rebuild with all new front drive accessories as well as hoses clamps covers cleaners and more. Additionally a new Aluminum Radiator was installed along with an OE replacement clutch new shocks coil springs mounts misc. bushings upper ball joints fuel tank sending unit and Radial G/T tires. The old restrictive exhaust manifolds were replaced with a set of Doug's ceramic coated headers which mate up to the new dual exhaust which give this FE the perfect note! The car now rolls as a strong dependable driver still sporting the correct Lime Gold Metallic paint under those GT side stripes!
Inside the factory Ivy interior is very mostly original and undisturbed! The original steering wheel houses the factory tach dash & gauges accompanied by a remote driver mirror factory deluxe seat belts fold down rear seat and the full center console! A Retrosound radio has been installed to maintain the factory look but bring in some modern sound!
Out back the original 9 inch Rear end spins 3.00 gears allowing this car to roll comfortably at highway speeds just as it was ordered new! .
