Dennis Fode, living in Anchorage, Alaska, was an avid motorcycle rider and collector. In addition to the 2-wheeled variety, Dennis was also known to find and bring home classic and collector Plymouths as well! As the original owner on many of these bikes, Dennis rode and enjoyed them over the years, many very sparingly. When father time began to gain on Dennis in the early 2000’s the bikes were parked and stored with the majority of them stored in climate controlled facilities, important for the Alaska climate. A few of the bikes even resided in his house!
Following Dennis’ passing, the bikes were brought out of their slumber in 2024 and 2025 and brought to Montana where he had family. The bikes were assessed, prepped and started to prepare them to present at auction. Please note: While the cold start videos indicate the running condition of the bikes, following long term storage they will need additional attention to optimize their mechanical and riding condition.

Paint: Factory, two-tone tan/light tan, with gold pin stripes, Harley-Davidson graphics and emblems, very good condition
Frame: Factory, black, original, bike only, 760# curb weight, very good condition overall
Tank: FLH Harley, with factory graphics, 5 US gallons, very good condition
Engine: Factory 80 ci (1340cc) v-twin, air cooled, factory specs 7.4:1 compression ratio, electric start, complete and in operating condition, original low miles
Transmission: 4-speed, chain drive, complete
Wheels/Tires: Factory, black aluminum spoked, good condition, 5.10 x 16, tires appear original and in fair condition
Rear fender, Front fender, side body panels: Factory with factory paint, “Classic” decals on front fender, complete and in very good condition
Brakes: Factory, front and rear disc, operating condition, good condition
Exhaust: Factory chrome, duals, very good condition
Seat: Factory 2 up, brown leather, matching padded back rest on short sissy bar, very good condition
Bars, Gauges, Controls: All factory, speedometer, odometer, warning lights, complete and in good condition
Lamps: Factory, complete and in good condition
Accessories and Other features: Full fairings with windshield, hard bags and trunk, factory chrome mirrors, forward foot pegs
SIDE CAR: Original factory, two-tone painted to match the bike, fiberglass body with integrated windshield, snap-down vinyl tonneau cover, factory wheel and tire, fender, sources report only approx 200 “Mohawk” side cars built, rare, low miles, very good condition
OVERALL CONDITION: Very Good
Production Notes: The FL model line began production for the 1941 model year. Side car production is low in all years available.
Observations: Part of collection of rare and special interest bikes, parked indoors, same ownership for many years.
