For many muscle car buffs the Pontiac GTO is the king of them all, thanks to its combination of sharp styling, strong performance and handsome interior. And there's also the fact that it's widely acknowledged as the leader of the '60s muscle car era. Here we have a gorgeous 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible that looks fantastic in its factory correct shade of Limelight Green accented with a white convertible top. Youll note the impressively straight and solid body which is accented with Rally wheels fitted with BF Goodrich Radial T/As. The paint, chrome and stainless-steel trim all gleam and this Goat spins heads as easily as it spins the tires wherever it goes. The interior is similarly stunning in matching green, and everything is in excellent condition. The GTO features comfortable Strato bucket seats, center console, full instrumentation, tilt wheel (added later), power steering, power front disc brakes and an AM/FM stereo radio with front and rear speakers. We've always loved the the more upscale look of the GTO with its higher quality materials and woodgrain accents compared to most of its rivals. Under the Goat's scooped hood is a 1970 455 V8 that has replaced the original 400 V8. Note that original 400 goes with the car. The burly V8 sends its considerable power through a 4-speed manual transmission and on out to the Safe-T-Track rear end. The meticulous restoration process included a complete new wiring harness as well as upgraded front-end suspension components. Note that a massive binder with PHS documentation and plenty of other paperwork regarding the restoration and maintenance done from 1999 to 2006 is included. Out on the road the GTO runs smooth and, as youd expect, moves out with gusto when you step into it and open up the secondaries.
