2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 - this example represents the high-performance variant of Pontiac's iconic F-body muscle car. The WS6 Performance and Handling Package elevated the Trans Am's already capable platform with a Ram Air induction system feeding the 5.7L LS1 V8 through a twin-nostril hood scoop. Factory output was rated at 325 horsepower - 15 more than the standard Trans Am - thanks to improved airflow and a freer-breathing exhaust system. The WS6 also received firmer springs and shocks, thicker sway bars, and a slightly lower ride height for sharper handling and reduced body roll.
This particular car is powered by the LS1 5.7L V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It shows just 73,000 miles and remains in excellent overall condition with no rust present. The interior is notably clean and well-kept, with all major surfaces and upholstery showing minimal wear. The removable T-tops, a signature feature of late Firebirds, include factory locking storage compartments in the rear hatch area.
Please note that this Trans Am carries a salvage title. Even so, it stands as a well-preserved, desirable example of one of Pontiac's last true muscle cars - a modern classic with unmistakable late-'90s and early-2000s performance character.
