1940 Ford Deluxe Business Coupe Hot Rod. This is one neat story. What youre looking at is a vintage hot rod! This is an all steel 40 that was bought new in 1940 and then hot-rodded in 1958 by the same owner in the Vancouver area. It was driven till 1962, then put in storage and left untouched and not driven until just a few years ago It was rescued from storage, gone through and fluids were replaced, the carbs rebuilt and everything put back into working order! This is a true time-travelling machine. Currently it has had just 2 registered owners in 85 years, and was owned by the same original owner for the first 80! The Interior is black and white vinyl and done in the late 50s style. Theres a bit of a suspension lowering and pie-cutter tires on steel wheels. Offenhauser valve covers and lots of vintage performance goodies including dual carbs on top of the original Flathead 221 Ford V8 and all backed by a 3-on-the-tree manual. The car still operates on 6 volts and runs fantastically! Theres a B. C inspection sticker on the windshield from 62 as well as an oil change sticker on the drivers door A-pillar from the same year. In the glove box is the original owners manual with lots of handwriting and date from the original owner. Car shows 41,000 miles and although its very likely to be original milage, with a 5-digit odometer and 85 years of history, true milage is unknown.
