1936 Ford Model 48 3-window coupe. Incredible build sitting on a fully boxed custom Roadster Shop Chassis that includes Heits front crossmember, tubular A-arms, coil over shocks, 4-link rear set up and custom sway bars on front and rear. This head turning ride is powered by a rebuilt 1964 409 Chevy with 11:1 pistons and factory aluminum intake manifold. Edelbrock aluminum heads, roller tip forged rockers and topped with a 750 cfm Quickfuel Carb. It's backed by a performance rebuilt 700R4 with a 2800 rpm stall converter. Walker 4 core rad to keep things cool. Out back you'll find a ford 9 diff with posi. The underside is absolutely incredible and features a custom one-piece floor pan. Great patina on the top of the car provides quite the contrast to the underside! Lots of factory original metal, but rear tail pan, door lower outers, and lower front and rear quarters have been grafted to the original metal and well hidden with matching patina. Right now, the car is quite the experience to drive! It came with a set of earmuffs hanging from the dash! The interior is largely unfinished but also has a real rat-rod feel to it. Seats look to be original but are covered with coffee sacks right now and most everything is bare metal. There is however a B M pro shifter, classic gauges all work and there are wipers and a vintage air heater system already installed. We plan to swap wheels and possibly finish the interior shortly. Driving this thing is an incredible experience. The sound from the 409 is positively wicked and it turns heads every block! Real leather strapping holds down the split hood and trunk lid. This car would have originally had a rumble seat, but the hinges have been swapped and now opens conventionally to reveal the fuel cell and a bit of storage in the trunk. The doors have had a suicide kit added and open from the A-pillar and add to the mystic of the car! Very raw and authentic driving experience that just can't be simulated any other way! 2500 kms on the digital odometer, so it's already a proven driver. Has just been lowered a touch and had a fresh wheel alignment.
