1979 Ford F-150 Ranger Lariat Supercab, Short Box 2WD. This is truly a 1 of 1 F-150 with Marti report to back up the claim. 985,000 F-150s built in 79, 35,705 were Super Cabs, of them 6,816 came with the 460-4V and C-6 automatic, 9 of them were painted light medium blue and lights sand, 4 of those had blue cloth with the Vinyl Ranger XLT lariat bench seat and of those 4, only 1 was equipped with roof clearance lights! This is that F-series truck! Produced January 23 rd, 1979, in Kansas City, This F-150 was sold new at Tisdale Sales and Service Saskatchewan and came highly equipped! Besides the big 460, options included the Ranger Package, Lariat trim package and Supercab body with short box behind it. IT was equipped with deluxe TuTone paint, Ammeter and oil pressure gauges, block heater, sliding rear window, power steering, tilt steering wheel, white wall tires, leather wrapped steering wheel, vanity mirror, Cruise control, handling package, A/C, AM radio with digital clock, center facing rear seats, flipper rear quarter windows, visibility group, Roof clearance lights, tinted glass, dual horns, protection group, bright grill, convenience group, tie down hooks on the box, full wheel covers, dual fuel tanks, chrome rear step bumper and other Canadian requirements like Metric speedometer and leaded fuel requirements. To say this was a fully loaded truck doesnt even do it justice. The condition of the truck is incredible. There has been some work along the years including a repaint and some interior renovations to keep it looking its best, but overall, its survived remarkably well. Besides a quick carpet cleaning required, its absolutely spotless and a very charming truck! Theres only been a few small modifications from original. A Retro sound Bluetooth radio is in the dash now and the factory wheels have been updated with alloy. Theres also been new velour center inserts stitched into the seat centers. The factory jack is still in place under the hood and everything is neat and tidy. It runs fantastic and drives very well. A quick polish will have the paint absolutely gleaming. The odometer reads 11,240 kms, but with only a 5-digit odometer, true milage is unknown. We dont get Fords all that often, so dont let this very special one pass you by!
