1965 Ford Thunderbird 2-dr Hardtop. A very unique car with lots of jet-aged features that really set it apart. Powered by a 390-4bbl V8 and backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. This car has been well taken care of and has had extensive work completed recently. Work by a previous owner in 2021 includes quarter panel and trunk repairs, battery tray replacement, new engine mounts, new tires, new sending unit, new water pump, new vinyl top, new weather stripping, all on top of the fact that the engine was removed and overhauled! Bills total just over 39,000$ in recent work completed at Davey Rod, Custom and restoration in Moose Jaw. Paperwork outlining the work completed comes with the car. The interior has plenty of original pieces and is in excellent condition but does have new door panels. Slide away steering wheel is just as neat as the climate controls that mimic slider controls out of a jet. This one is factory equipped with A/C, and power windows plus full gauges and a very neat sliding speedometer. Theres power brakes and power steering. The dash molds into the console and sweeps back between the two front bucket seats " revolutionary ground-breaking style for the time. The back seat is curved in the corners just like a big chesterfield! The black interior and woodgrain trim, plus loads of chrome and brightwork make the cockpit a very enjoyable place to spend a Sunday cruise in. On the outside the formal roofline finished in Vinyl has the coach bars and theres plenty of chrome and stainless trim. One of the most unique features is right out back. One of the first cars to have sequential turn signals was this T-bird. Optional signal indicators stick out of the front fenders and the non-functional hood scoop mimics a jet-engine intake. Right now the car is making its way through the shop for mechanical inspection and then its off to the detail center to put on the shine. The car shows 98,600 miles and although thats likely the original milage, with a 5-digit odometer, true milage is unknown. Based on the work completed 5 years ago and the condition of the car, this is truly a steal of a deal!
