Survivor Classic Car Services Chicago is proud to present this 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. This Corvette is equipped with the L-48 350 cubic inch small block Chevy V8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission. This Corvette is a semi-survivor: it has been repainted earlier in its life, and the paint is starting to show its age. The interior appears mostly original and has some flaws. The engine and transmission are rock-solid and the Corvette runs like a dream! The key spins the starter easily, thanks to a brand new battery. The new aluminum radiator keeps the 'Vette running cool as a cucumber and the carb is dialed in to perfection! The transmission eagerly shifts from gear to gear and comfortably cruises at 60mph without any fuss. The brakes have recently been gone through and calipers have been replaced front and rear, as well as the master cylinder. While not perfect (no car is) this Corvette has a lot of character, good bones, and a mechanically sound foundation. This is a great candidate for someone looking for a good driver in need of some cosmetic reconditioning. The newest fad of "imperfect" classic cars is becoming more and more popular, and this Corvette is sure to get plenty of attention when our enjoying all it has to offer!
