The cargo bed now featured steel floors with supporting wood planks for strength. Whether in Standard form with the 60-horsepower V8 engine or in upscale Deluxe trim with the 85-horsepower V-8, Ford’s light-duty workhorses brought car-like levels of style and performance to pickup buyers.

Only an approximate 3,000 miles are traveled since the professional restoration and build was completed in 2021. Power is delivered by a 350 CI small block Chevy V-8 engine paired with a floor-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission. Performance goodies include a and a 4-barrel carburetor and performance intake, plus tubular headers feeding a custom full-length dual exhaust equipped with Flowmaster mufflers.
The restored frame and suspension includes a modern independent front clip mounting tubular A-arms, adjustable coil over shocks, and slotted and cross-drilled power disc brakes. The power steering is provided via rack-and-pinion gear with an Ididit tilt column. The rear axle is located by a set of leaf springs and mounts rear drum brakes.
Inside, the driver is greeted by a modern tilt steering column mounting a period steering wheel and twin clusters housing a speedometer and 4-gauge cluster by Classic Instruments. Trimmed in Brown leather upholstery with Black carpeting, the pickup includes the comforts of tinted glass and maintains its vintage ambience with an air of added luxury and quality. An OEM-type heater is mounted underneath the dash. The new steel cargo bed is handsomely finished in oak flooring and stainless retaining straps.
