Chevrolets Chevelle SS rumbled into 1966 sporting big block power as standard issue. This marked a graduation of sorts into the big leagues for Chevys midsize muscle car, joining its GM stablemates with their 389- and 400-cube V8s. Specifically, the Chevelle SS now sported a standard 396 V8 making 325 horsepower. Here we have a gorgeous 1966 Chevelle SS 396 that boasts a no-expense-spared ground-up restoration. The rock-solid and arrow-straight body boasts an incredible finish in the correct Marina Blue, which is nicely accented with a black vinyl top and a set of 15-inch Rally wheels wearing redline radial tires. The glass, chrome and stainless-steel trim are likewise impressive. The underside is so clean it earns our Lasagna Car designation, meaning we'd gladly eat our Sunday pasta off of the car's immaculate floor pans, frame rails, etc. The interior is also in amazing condition, looking as if it was taken straight from the showroom brochure. The optional buckets and console give the correct muscle car vibe, as does the full instrumentation including the knee knocker tach sitting aside the steering column.
