1973 Honda CB750K
VIN: CB750-2204976
This is a highly original low mileage example of the iconic Honda transverse SOHC four that transformed the motorcycle industry when it was introduced in 1969. A marvel of modern engineering and technology, it featured electric starting, hydraulic disc braking, a smooth shifting 5 speed transmission, and a low vibration SOHC 750cc transverse four cylinder motor that made this motorcycle more sophisticated, powerful, and reliable than any of its competitors. Widely credited by many as the first “Superbike”, it set the mold for what would become known as the UJM, or “Universal Japanese Motorcycle”. A CB750 is a must have for any serious collector of Japanese motorcycles.
The highly original low mileage 1973 example that you see here was purchased by the current owner in 2005 with just over 23,500 miles on the odometer. In 2007, at 24,075 miles, It received a complete service and new grips, fork seals, drive chain, and seat cover were installed. In 2015, at 24,150 miles, new tires were installed and a fresh coat of ruby red paint was applied. The bike has been carefully maintained and sparingly ridden in the ten years since, and the odometer currently shows 24,241 miles. (All maintenance and repair records are provided with sale.)
