1977 Triumph "Silver Jubilee" Bonneville 750
VIN:
In 1977, in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's Coronation, Triumph produced a special limited “Silver Jubilee” edition of their T140 Bonneville. The T140J Jubilee Edition Bonneville is a rare bird today, as only 1,000 American edition models (round tank, high bars) were shipped to the U.S. Even rarer, and more desirable is the European edition Jubilee, with it's low bars and old school fuselage tank complete with classic knee pads.
The example shown here was originally shipped from Great Britain to the original owner in New Zealand. In 2002 it was purchased by a Phoenix Harley Davidson dealer, who used it to tour the islands. Afterward he brought it back to the U.S. and put it into storage, when in 2011 it was purchased by the current owner with 8,371 miles showing on the odometer. The bike received a complete service at that time, and again in 2015 including new tires installed. It was then pickled and put into storage, with just under 8,600 miles showing on the odometer. It is an all original unmolested motorcycle, complete with the original special edition silver and blue paint, emblems, and markings.
