Enthusiasts often regard the 1992 1994 cars as the most desirable 964s, as many of the earlier issues had already been resolved by this point. Later cars received updated cylinder head sealing improvements, revised suspension components, improved flywheel updates, and numerous small refinements that made the cars more reliable and better sorted overall. Production numbers for these later-year 964s were also significantly lower, making clean examples increasingly difficult to find today.
