2004 Mazda MX-5 Miata MAZDASPEED. Truly a cherished time capsule in flawless condition. Youre looking at a one owner Miata thats been lovingly cared for and lady driven its entire life. It was sold new at Mainway Mazda in Saskatoon on August 3 rd, 2004. At the time, it was the only one in the province of Saskatchewan and is registered on the MSM registry as one of only 10 owners in the country that were still the original owners of their MAZDASPEED Miatas. Its spent its entire life in the city and complete documents come with the car including original bill of sale, sales brochure, and every receipt for all maintenance work and oil changes that have been completed over the years. Apart from the tires and battery, the car is 100% factory stock. Hard to find one of these that hasnt been modified in any way. Its also in flawless condition, having only done 70,000 kms since 04 and having never been winter driven. In fact, the day it was brought to Rods Hotrods, was the first time it had driven in rain! Its always had premium fuel and been stored indoors with a battery maintainer. Its never been in an accident either. The condition is second to none, with no wear at all! The metallic Velocity Red Mica paint is flawless and looks new. The wheels have never bumped a curb, and the interior is as it was in 2004. The floormats dont even show wear. The convertible top and boot are perfect. To top it all off, this isnt just any Miata, this is a MAZDASPEED! Its the only Miata in history to feature a turbo. A IHI RHF5 VJ35 turbocharger to be exact which allows the BP-4W 1.8-liter double over-head cam 4-cylinder to pump out an astonishing 178 hp at 6,000 RPM with 167 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm. Its of course intercooled as well. These numbers might not sound like much compared to regular muscle cars, but when you consider that the entire car only weights 2,400 lbs, it all translates to a nimble 0-60 time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed over 200 kph. Theres plenty of other upgrades over the standard Miata. The Mazdaspeed features a short throw 6-speed manual with shot-peen hardened gears, heavy duty clutch and driveshaft, Bosch limited slip rear diff, tuned and lowered double wishbone suspension with Bilstein shocks, 4-wheel discbrakes with abs, 17 Racing Hart alloy wheels with W-rated Toyo tyres, special air dams and rear spoiler, Leather wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, black and red upholstery, stainless steel scuff plates, Mazdaspeed gauges and a 225-watt Bose 6-speaker sound system with in-dash 6-disc CD changer. The handling is probably the most entertaining part of the car. It corners on rails and zips through traffic like no-ones business! This is one of 295 MAZDASPEED Miatas that made it to Canada in 2004. Only 78 came to Canada in 2005, meaning there are very few of these around. There would be even fewer that were as nice as this one. Truly a drivers car built and designed for the pure enjoyment of driving a topless sportscar with a manual transmission.
