CONDITION
This 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible is finished in Grabber Blue with a black interior and black power convertible top. It is a restored, rust-free California car with long-term same-family ownership history dating back to 1973. Documentation includes a Marti Deluxe Report, service records, the original owner's manual, an original Ford dealership brochure, and a maintenance logbook.
The Mustang is powered by a rebuilt 351 Cleveland V8 paired with a 3-speed FMX automatic transmission. Engine upgrades include an Edelbrock intake and carburetor, a mild camshaft with matching springs and lifters, PerTronix electronic ignition, and a high-performance coil. Cooling-system updates include a heavy-duty radiator, hoses, fuel pump, and belts.
The exterior has newer Grabber Blue paint with hood and side stripes, a front spoiler, Magnum 500 wheels, and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Additional exterior updates include a rechromed rear bumper, new front grille, new taillight panel, weatherstripping, and window felts. The power convertible top, rear glass, and trunk mat have also been replaced.
The black interior received new seat upholstery, foam, carpet, padding, and door panels. It also features a floor console with cup holders, a Mustang-style wood and chrome steering wheel, a new instrument panel, working gauges, a replacement clock, and a working AM/FM radio.
The drivetrain includes a new driveshaft, heavy-duty U-joints, transmission cooler, and a 9-inch big-bearing rear end. Braking consists of power front discs and rear drums, with recent work including bearings, seals, master cylinder, pads, rotors, hoses, shoes, wheel cylinders, and hardware. The dual exhaust is fitted with Flowmaster mufflers and stainless-steel tips. The car runs and drives. The odometer shows 6,000 miles, but actual mileage is unknown because the odometer has rolled over.
