CONDITION
This 1969 Pontiac Firebird has completed a two-year frame-on restoration and retains its original, rust-free sheet metal, including the floor pans and trunk pan. The Antique Gold code 65-65 exterior was refinished in PPG basecoat/clearcoat and buffed. The car retains its original bumpers, padded dashboard, seat belts, visors, jack, and all original glass except the rear window.
The original 350 CI V8 remains installed and has not been removed. Original engine components include the air cleaner, carburetor, alternator, starter, distributor, cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, water pump, and power steering pump. The timing chain and gears were replaced in the 1980s. The engine runs without reported smoke or unusual noises, and the car runs and drives.
The gold interior has new upholstery, carpet, headliner, door panels, and armrests. The dashboard and steering column have been refinished with two-color interior paint. All documented identification numbers match the dashboard VIN and title.
