We purchased this vehicle from an elderly gentleman in Tucson, Arizona, who owned it for the last 25 years. At 85 years old, he decided it was finally time to let the car go. The previous owner was a longtime Volkswagen and Porsche 356 enthusiast who performed nearly all of the maintenance himself. During his ownership, he completed a top-end engine rebuild, which included rebuilding the cylinder heads, resealing the engine, installing a set of Weber carburetors, replacing the fuel lines and much more. Cosmetically, this Porsche presents as a nice driver-quality example. The body appears to be very solid, and we have not found any significant rust or evidence of previous accident damage. The engine sounds excellent, the Weber carburetors are responsive, and the 5-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all gears.
