This 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor is one of the more interesting trucks Ford built in the final years of the twelfth-generation platform. Offered for 2014 only, the Tremor paired the regular cab short box body with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6, making it the only regular cab F-150 available with that engine and giving Ford a factory sport truck for the first time since the SVT Lightning. This one is finished in Oxford White over black leather buckets and has been developed further by its owner with a focused list of powertrain and chassis modifications.
The 3.5L EcoBoost left the factory rated at 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, backed by the electronic six-speed automatic with SelectShift and tow mode, and routed through the Tremor's 4.10 electronic locking rear axle. The current setup builds on that with a throttle body opened 4mm over stock, an AIRAID intake, a low-temperature thermostat and matching spark plugs, and an RXP catch can. Exhaust is full turbo-back, using a Livernois Y-pipe, high-flow catalytic converters, and MBRP side exit piping. Tuning is handled through an SVT handheld tuner with a custom file, and the truck runs a two-stage traction control setup. It is a coherent combination aimed at airflow, heat management, and turbo response rather than a collection of unrelated parts.
Chassis work follows the same theme. A Belltech lowering kit brings the ride height down, with the frame notched to allow proper rear travel at the new stance. The truck retains its factory 20-inch painted aluminum wheels, black tubular running boards, HID headlamps, and fog lamps from the FX Appearance Package. The bed carries a DECKED storage system under a hard tri-folding tonneau cover, keeping the load floor secure and usable.
Inside, the Tremor was equipped well from the factory. This example carries the Tremor Plus Package with navigation, remote start, rear view camera, reverse sensing, and an integrated trailer brake controller, along with SYNC with MyFord, a 4.2-inch LCD cluster, power adjustable pedals, a six-way power driver seat, leather wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming mirror, cruise control, and dual-zone manual climate control. A tailgate step, pickup bed extender, 26-gallon fuel tank, and 6,650-pound GVWR package round out the build sheet.
