The 1955 Chevrolet 150 started life as one of Chevrolet's straightforward, no-frills models, but this example has become something entirely different. Finished in Metallic Red and Pearl White two-tone paint, this '55 Chevy pairs iconic Tri-Five styling with a fully built supercharged LSX drivetrain and a custom interior designed for comfortable road time.
Under the hood is an iron-block 441 cubic-inch LSX V8 topped with aluminum LS9 heads and a Whipple supercharger. Inside are serious components including a Callies crankshaft, Eagle rods, and Morel lifters. Coated long-tube headers feed a Magnaflow dual exhaust, while a 4L80E 4-speed automatic sends power to a narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end.
Power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes help manage the performance. Staggered 17-inch and 18-inch chrome American Racing wheels wear Nitto tires measuring 235/45ZR17 up front and a substantial 295/40ZR18 at the rear.
Inside, custom Tan leather bucket seats are joined by a center console, dual cupholders, power seats, Classic Instruments gauges, and air conditioning. A Pioneer touchscreen AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and CD/DVD player adds modern audio without distracting from the classic surroundings.
For anyone searching for a 1955 Chevy or a custom Tri Five Chevy for sale, this build takes the familiar shape in a much more powerful direction. A Whipple-supercharged 441 LSX, 4L80E, and wide rear rubber give this 1955 Chevy 150 the hardware to back up its show-ready appearance.
