1980 Chevrolet Corvette in Red with oyster leather interior. Sold new at McTaggart Chev Olds in Stettler AB and one of only 593 in Color 83 Red in Canada. Quite well equipped with options including Power locks, Power windows, rear window defroster, Gymkhana handling suspension, 3.07 rear axle, white letter tires, heavy duty battery, AM/FM radio and tape player, Power antenna, dual rear speakers, A/C, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, T-tops and 350 V8 with 3-speed automatic transmission. Confirmation of exact options is thanks to Canadian GM documentation provided with the car along with a binder full of receipts for work and parts dating back to the 90s! Included are also an original sales brochure, several vintage magazine articles covering the car and the MVMA specifications. Its easy to see this was a well cared for car with more than one owner who cared deeply about it. The car was repainted at some point in its original color, but the interior looks to be factory original. The leather seats have some minor wear, but thats to be expected for leather thats now 46 years old. No rips or tears though. An aftermarket CD stereo is in place of the original and a pioneer amplifier is mounted in the trunk. Everything under the hood is neat and tidy. An alarm system was added at some point. The car runs and drives just like youd expect! Still great looking and always handsome in red. If a sports car is on your list, this Corvette still offers great bang for the buck! The car shows 55,000 kms. Theres enough paperwork included dating back more than 20 years to support that the odometer has not rolled over, but of course with only 5 digits, it cant be proven without a doubt.
