Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is excited to present this 1956 Ford Thunderbird, finished in White over a White vinyl interior. With its two-seat layout, sweeping 1950s styling, and manual convertible top, this Thunderbird offers the kind of open-air driving experience closely associated with Ford's early personal luxury car.
Under the hood is a 292 CID V8 paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The engine has been rebuilt and has less than 1,000 miles on it since the rebuild, with new heads, pistons, and rings among the work performed. A new clutch and flywheel accompany the manual transmission.
Settle into the White vinyl interior, lower the manual convertible top, and the 3-speed manual keeps you involved as you head out for an afternoon drive. The braking system features a dual master cylinder along with new brakes and front disc brakes. Seatbelts are also equipped.
Inside, new carpet complements the White vinyl seating, while an AM/FM radio provides entertainment along the way. Outside, traditional hub caps contribute to the Thunderbird's recognizable 1950s appearance.
From shifting through the gears with the top down to cruising along at an easy pace, this 1956 Ford Thunderbird combines its White-on-White presentation with a 292 CID V8, 3-speed manual transmission, and a collection of mechanical updates.
