1988 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 4X4. This has to be the nicest Bronco anywhere! Fully restored from top to bottom. Despite having 243,000 kms on the original drivetrain, the mechanicals, body and interior are all sorted out right back to new! The truck was sold new at Metro Ford in Calgary and has lived its entire life in Alberta. Extensive paperwork comes with the truck outlining all the recent mechanical and cosmetic repairs. All fluids are new and anything required to make the truck 100% roadworthy has been completed. Work includes a new power steering box, new rear diff pinion seal, new steering pump and fluid, reseal and recharge of the A/C system, new heater core, new water pump, rad hoses and fluid, wheel alignment, new tire rods, new 4X4 hub seals, new Magna flow exhaust, new battery, new starter solenoid, new engine timing cover gasket, new front grille and bumper, new window motor, new window felts and rubbers and much more if you want to sit down and read through the stack of receipts! Thousands of dollars have been spent on the restoration of the truck including the required body work (just minor repairs on the fenders) and beautiful paint job in base/clear in the original Eddie Bauer two-tone green and tan. New decals, pinstriping, trim and mouldings were sourced as necessary. No matter what angle you look at the truck from, its sensationally well done. The underside has very little scaling anywhere, and the floors are perfect. The quality of restoration is extremely high on this one with extensive attention to detail, even in areas like the rocker panels and inner fenders. Paint quality is beautiful. The paint is glossy, smooth and clearly was wet sanded in the finishing stages. A section of paint protection film was also added to the leading edge of the hood to prevent stone chips. Wheels were finished back to new and powder coated. Even the stainless-steel panel on the rear tailgate looks like it just left the factory. You get a sense when you get up close to the Bronco just how much attention was paid to the little details. This a totally loaded Bronco! Power windows, power locks, A/C (still blows cold), tilt steering, cruise control, power rear window and AM/FM cassette and full gauge cluster with tachometer round up the luxury features. Being an Eddie Bauer edition, you also get special captains chairs with dual arm rests on each and Eddie Bauer stitching. In between the buckets is a console and the dash features simulated wood trim. Wall to wall carpeting, upgraded door panels and the special interior and exterior colors are all part of the Eddie package. The headliner matches the interior and is still perfect. The seats are in excellent condition with only minor wear on the drivers seat. Carpets have no wear and are extremely clean. The dash is crack free, and all functions and options on the truck are in working order. The owners manual package is still complete and in the glove box. We love that a 90s vintage set of aftermarket mats come with the truck " the Tasmanian Devil Bugs, Daffy, Road Runner and the Coyote all on the floor mats. The swing away spare tire holder has all been restored and powder coated, the power retractable window works and drop the tailgate to reveal the fully carpeted rear trunk area with working light and no scratches anywhere on the trunk plastics " which is incredible for a car that was designed to be a utility vehicle. Most of these were pretty used up over the years. Under the hood is the original fuel injected 5.0-liter V8 with the original 3-speed automatic behind that. As mentioned before all the tune-up and maintenance work required has been completed on the powertrain. Power routes through a rebuilt transfer case and then through the serviced but original front and rear axles. 4X4 controls are shifted on the floor manually with both high and low range gears and the whole system is in working order. Bottom line, a large amount of money, time and effort has been spent bringing this Bronco right back to like new, original as it left the factory, condition. The color scheme is fantastic, the unit is absolutely loaded, and you wont find a nicer one anywhere around. The higher milage doesnt mean much when everything has been done properly over the years. If youre looking for a time-machine back to 1988, look no further!
