The classic shape and design of this first year of production for the A series became the prototype of what was to be considered the traditional international sports car with a long hood & gracefully sweeping body contours. The significance of this particular example is that it is a very early production car built after September of 1955. Full production started in 1956 with 6,044 cars sold in the U.S. This stunning little car has received a full authentic restoration with attention to details & upgraded with disc brakes up front. It has the optional chrome wire wheels with Knock off hubs, set off by glass smooth orient red paint & black leather seats, factory heater with cockpit ventilation, twin horns, fender mounted mirrors and folding top with side curtains. The 1500 c.c. engine starts easily and purrs like a kitten, transmission is factory 4 speed. Just out of a dedicated enthusiast's personal collection.
