The 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 remains a quintessential icon of British motoring, blending elegant lines with raw, spirited performance. The BT7 four-seater roadster, often dubbed the "Big Healey," carries a long-hood and short-deck silhouette. Paired with a chrome-trimmed grille and wire-spoke wheels, this car defines the aesthetic of the era's grand tourers. Driving the BT7 is a visceral experience; the heavy steering and direct, firm ride connect the enthusiast to the road. It serves as a beautifully balanced testament to classic design, capturing the timeless romance of open-top, long-distance motoring.
This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 2+2 roadster is the result of a recently completed no-expense spared nut and bolt rotisserie restoration commissioned by Motor City Classic Cars. Every piece of this car was disassembled and refurbished or replaced with correct components. The engine was rebuilt and all electronics were refurbished or replaced using correct Lucas components. The exterior of the car is finished in period-correct British Racing Green with a complimenting Beige Interior. All around this Healey and top-to-bottom, nothing was overlooked. A photo documentation and restoration receipts some with the vehicle demonstrating that nothing was overlooked.
