This authentic Indy Festival Car, #16 out of 44, is registered by VIN in the Corvette Pace Car Registry. It was used as a special tribute to our armed forces at the Indy 500 in 2004. Unlike other production years, there were no GM Indy replicas produced in 2004 which makes this Indy Festival Car a truly unique piece of Chevrolet history.
This 2004 Commemorative Edition has all the documentation including the temporary Indiana license plate for the Indy 500, a Certificate of Authenticity, Bill of Lading to the IMS, and photographs. It is equipped with a 350HP V-8 engine with a 4-speed overdrive automatic transmission, all options, and it is strobed. The mileage on the car is a very low 4,365 miles.
This multiple "Best of Show" winner has spent the majority of its life in Southern California, winning large, judged shows. It has also been displayed at the Peterson Museum for the 60th anniversary of the Corvette. Now, in North Carolina, the car won its class versus 22 other C-5 Corvettes in an April 2023 Corvette only car show.
