LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 2011 Porsche 911 GT2RS For those that thought the “standard” 911 GT2 was not enough, Porsche turned up the performance with the GT2 RS as a fitting finale for the 997 generation. The Metzger based 3.6L twin turbocharged flat six was fitted with new four-valve heads, Variocam-Plus, and variable-turbine technology borrowed from the GT1 program, producing an eye-watering 620 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This all backed by a short-shifted six speed manual transmission for the ultimate driving experience. In addition to the increase in power, Porsche trimmed the GT2’s 3,175-pound curb weight by a further 154 pounds by further utilizing additional carbon fiber body panels and trim throughout. Downforce was drastically improved to rival GT3RS with a bi-plane rear spoiler and front splitter. According to Porsche, the 0-60 mph could be achieved from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds but many reviewers believed that time was a very conservative estimate. One-hundred mph could be reached in less than seven seconds, leading toward a top speed of 209 mph. The performance was reined in through Porsche’s PCCB ceramic-brake system, the PASM adaptive suspension, and stability control. Perhaps the car’s most impressive performance figure was its lap time around the Nürburgring Nordschleife: 7 minutes and 18 seconds, faster even than Porsche’s Carrera GT, the Ferrari 488 GTB, Maserati MC12, Bugatti Veyron 16.4, and Lexus LFA Nürburgring. One of just 142 sent to North America, this GT2 RS was finished in Porsche’s iconic GT Silver Metallic with a Black leather/Red Alcantara interior. As per the COA, this GT2RS has been extensively optioned with the Sound Package Plus, Sport Chrono Package Plus, automatic dimming mirrors with rain sensor, aluminum foot rest, universal audio interface, Bluetooth, clear tail lamps and Michelin tires. This Porsche GT2 RS has seen very limited use throughout its life and shows just 4,585 miles on the odometer. Included in the sale are owner’s manuals, service history, Porsche COA and more.
