This was created by Steve Holcomb at Pro Auto, and the full light gray package inside looks like an extension of the exterior's silver. So your first impression of the interior is a thoughtful setup even before you see the detailed quality of the leather. There are all the best comfort features, including cold blowing air conditioning, power windows, and an AM/FM/CD stereo mounted in the headliner. There's plenty of comfort for everyone, but this one remains a driver's car at its heart. That's why your bucket seat power adjusts to the ideal position. The leather-wrapped Billet Specialties "Hole Shot" steering wheel is on a tilt steering column. And beyond that is a full set of Classic Instruments All-American Limited Edition gauges.
The engine bay is part of the full showcase, too. The inner walls and firewall are smooth, and the custom overs hide all the wires and hoses of this modern heart. It's a fuel-injected 5.7-liter LS1 V8 that was borrowed from the final-gen Pontiac Trans Am. It's supported by the right pieces, like a Street & Performance Billet front accessory belt system, a Walker trans cooler, an electric fan, and the battery relocated to the trunk. This V8 fires up with a terrific tune as ceramic-coated headers feed the glasspack style dual exhaust. Take some extra time to check out the super-clean undercarriage. Not only will it have you putting a mirror under this one at the shows, but it's also built with terrific components. This includes a strong Fatman chassis, a tubular A-arm front end, four-link rear, rack & pinion power steering, and Wilwood four-wheel disk brakes with drilled & slotted rotors. It makes for quite a solid custom, and so they also made sure it was easy to take everywhere. That's why you have a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-ready overdrive.
