This vehicle is not only unique in its features but also with its stories. It was originally imported from Germany to Monterey, CA. The original owner was in the military and was stationed in Fort Ord at the time. When it was brought to the states, they disconnected the semaphores, but left the original solenoids in there so if someone wanted they could be reconnected! It was then sold to a local gentleman who proceeded to own the car for the next 56 years. He got married to his wife, had all his kids, all while owning this lovely old bug. But they were getting quite old now and it was getting harder for them to drive it. The car has never been fully restored and keeps a lot of its original integrity. For his daughter's wedding a few years ago they freshened up the car, painting it and doing a few other cosmetic things. It is finished in its original silver green color over white interior. The exterior is in beautiful condition. Paint is deep and glossy. The body is straight and free of any type of major accidents. The rag top is cosmetically and mechanically perfect.
