Introduced as a 2015 model in 2014 the Slingshot is a celebration of Polaris being in business for 60 years. The Slingshot was designed to represent the future of on–road driving exhilaration with its awe inspiring 3 wheel roadster. It offers heart pounding acceleration with its 2.4L 4 cylinder engine that produces 173hp. With its balanced weight distribution, sport tuned double wishbone suspension, coil-over gas filled shocks and its sway bar it was designed to take corners at top speed. It also features a 5-speed manual transmission, power assisted steering and ABS brakes. The upgraded SLR model features larger lightweight 18” forged aluminum rims up front and a 20” rim with a 305mm tire in the rear, a Bluetooth media console with a LCD screen, a back-up camera, a 6 speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system, an open air intake, an interior LED lighting kit and composite brake rotors. This particular example has a two-tone paint scheme with color matched Orange Madness frame accents. You will also appreciate the racing inspired Sparco steering wheel, aluminum shift knob and pedals as well as the carbon fiber rear wing spoiler and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its dual 2” performance exhaust. The rear tire was just replaced and it was just sent to an authorized dealer to have all of the open recalls performed. They also did a 10K service and replaced the rear gear case it was cracked and leaking. With the exception of some small scratches on the front end and a scuff on the passenger seat bolster this machine is in excellent condition. It has close to $3K of options yet we have priced it $3K below the current KBB value for a quick sell.
