About the 2013 Ford Mustang

The fifth generation of the Ford Mustang was produced from 2005 to 2014. It marked a return to retro-inspired design elements while embracing modern technology and performance enhancements.

Introduced in 2005, the fifth-gen Mustang featured a more muscular and retro-inspired exterior design, paying homage to classic Mustangs from the 1960s. It retained the iconic long hood, short rear deck, and distinctive tri-bar taillights, capturing the essence of the Mustang's timeless appeal.

Under the hood, the fifth-gen Mustang offered a range of powerful engine options, including a 4.0-liter V6 and various V8 engines, with the 4.6-liter and later 5.0-liter V8 becoming the centerpiece of the Mustang GT.

In 2007, Ford introduced the Shelby GT500, a high-performance variant developed in collaboration with Carroll Shelby's team. The Shelby GT500 featured a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine, delivering remarkable horsepower and torque, making it one of the most powerful Mustangs of its time.

The fifth-gen Mustang also introduced modern amenities and technology, including an available SYNC infotainment system, advanced safety features, and improved interior quality.

Throughout its production run, the fifth-gen Mustang received various updates and special editions, including the limited-production Bullitt edition, paying tribute to the iconic movie car once again.

In 2010, the Mustang underwent a significant exterior restyling, further enhancing its retro-inspired design elements and modernizing its appearance.
