It is an original CA car that was purchased at Oliver Imported in Berkeley, CA in 1960. It was driven until 1970 then it was stored in a storage unit until 2020. The original owners passed away and it was acquired by a gentleman who bought the storage unit. He believed without a doubt it only had 10K miles on the car, when he acquired the original paint, the original wheel drums (that are still on there) and original tires. I have the tires but I replaced them with new ones so someone can drive it. I don't believe I have enough documentation to state it has that type of miles, so it's priced based on the condition of the car, not the mileage. The guy who acquired the car from its long term storage unfortunately did not know better and wanted to freshen it up. A collector would have left it all original but he tried his best to keep it as original as possible, and only used OEM Porsche items. He painted it the original ivory color; the paint meter reads very low around the car. Not a concourse level paint job, but a nice window out driver quality level. The body is very straight, free of previous accidents or rust. The interior is quite original but there were many items he freshed up inside as well. Most the seals, dash, and miscellaneous other items, all in the records. All the parts were OEM. The radio was fully rebuilt and warranted. Best thing to do is watch the video. I have all records for everything the previous owner replaced or rebuilt. He was a mechanic, most of the work he did himself. Mechanically he went through as well. He pulled the motor, did a partial rebuild which included; complete reseal, new pistons, carburetor rebuilt, new fuel system all around and much more. Again all the parts he used were porsche recommended and all the receipts are available. He checked the transmission, replaced the axle boots and whatever else he saw was an issue. The brakes, brake line, wheel cylinders, and master cylinder were replaced. It has a brand new set of tires. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Clutch feels good. It is still the original 6 volt system. The previous owner was not a porsche specialist, so it will require someone to give it a final finishing touch. The brakes stop the car but are soft, and it has a cold start issue if the battery isn't completely charged up. There's always some TLC that can be done, the engine is number matching and we have original dealer books to prove it. I do not have a COA to prove the transmission is as well, but to our knowledge it is. The wheels are date coded to the car as well. Floors are very solid and original. This car has no rust issues.
