Representing the best of Dodge performance for 1969, the Coronet R/T represents the pinnacle of '60s Mopar muscle. The legendary R/T package (standing for Road/Track) denoted the highest-equipped Dodge vehicles, in terms of both interior appointments and sheer power. That designation is made apparent by this '69 Dodge Coronet, an original R/T model with all the horsepower to boot. Sitting underneath that lightweight fiberglass hood is an extremely powerful 440 C.I. V8, breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor and putting upwards of 500 horses straight into the rear axle. All that torque is harnessed by a heavy-duty 4-speed manual transmission, which shifts quick and smooth and is sure to put a smile on your face whenever you're behind the wheel. The exterior's bodylines are delightfully straight, with gorgeous curves in the front and rear tightening around the middle beltline to give off some characteristic '60s "coke-bottle" style. Those bodylines are complimented by a gorgeous black vinyl top and a matching black rear transverse stripe, emblazoned with a massive "R/T" emblem to let everyone you drive past know what you have. The undercarriage is rock-solid, with strong floors, frame rails, trunk, and door jambs. Opening the twin doors and stepping inside reveals a gorgeous black vinyl interior, complete with comfy bucket seats, factory gauges, and some woodgrain trim for a splash of '60s design. The car is shoed with a sweet set of staggered U.S. Mag chrome wheels over blackwall tires for a fantastic blend of vintage and modern muscular style! Throw the car into gear and it becomes evident just how mean it is, with over 500hp at your disposal at the push of the throttle. It runs and drives down the road like a dream, and it does it very quickly! It's not very often you come across an authentic '69 Coronet R/T, much less so with the amount of power, presence, and performance capabilities that this one has. It's not going to be on the showroom floor for long, so don't let it pass you by!
